In this experiential workshop, we\u2019ll explore the core stance of Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT), with a focus on being curious and authentic in the room. Through simple, interactive exercises we\u2019ll think about how to sit with uncertainty, stay open, and reflect with our clients rather<br \/>\nthan for them.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meet the expert<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<p>Shilpa is a Clinical Psychologist (RCI) with an MPhil in from Manipal University. She offers both brief and long-term psychotherapy to adults at present, with a focus on relational and reflective ways of working.<br \/>\nHer clinical practice is strongly influenced by Mentalization-Based Treatment (MBT).<br \/>\nShe has completed her advanced training in MBT with the Anna Freud Centre, under Prof. Anthony Bateman.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Learning objectives<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>Introduction to the MBT therapist stance of \u201cnot-knowing\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Differentiate this approach from more expert-driven or solution focused ways of working.<\/li>\n<li>Maintaining curiosity even when things are unclear, emotional or confusing.<\/li>\n<li>Explore simple, practical ways to bring the curious stance into your sessions.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Zoom link will be provided 1 hour prior to the session.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We\u2019re inviting you to slow down and reflect on how we show up as therapists, especially when we don\u2019t have all the answers.
