CAT was developed to find a common language across the different psychotherapy models.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Application<\/strong><br \/>\nCAT is a brief, time-limited therapy that has growing evidence of effectiveness and utility. It can be applied across diagnoses and in varied cultural settings and languages.<br \/>\nIt has been found to be effective with primary and specialist care of depression, eating disorders, personality difficulty\/disorders, OCD, PTSD, somatoform disorders and in managing long term conditions like diabetes and substance abuse.
