It also allows me to support and encourage parents to experience interactions that foster better mentalization. Focus on mentalizing has helped me witness nuanced emotional awareness, gains in emotion regulation and improvements in the capacity to take self-enhancing actions, in my young clients<\/p>\n<p><strong>Meet the expert<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul><\/ul>\n<p>Nithya is a clinical psychologist with experience and interest in working with children, adolescents and parents. Her most recent training in psychotherapy has been in Mentalization Based Treatment (MBT), from The PARC and Anna Freud Centre, London, including the basic training to use MBT with children.
