The Parc is a not for profit organisation that delivers high caliber, internationally accredited training and clinical resources for psychologists, counsellors, social workers, psychiatrists and any mental health clinicians working in the field of psychotherapy. Our carefully designed workshops and training programs focus on theoretical framework of various psychotherapies and teach skills that have consistently shown efficacy worldwide. A central aim is to make the training culturally relevant and applicable to clinical practice in India, which is done through case examples, videos, role plays and experiential small group learning.
Lead Faculty Dr Ashlesha Bagadia is a Perinatal Psychiatrist and Family Psychotherapist with over a decade of experience in mental health. After graduating in medicine from India, she completed basic psychiatry training at St George’s Hospital, London, obtaining Membership of Royal College of Psychiatrists, UK. Her advanced training is in Systemic Family Psychotherapy from Australia, CCT-Fellowship of the Royal Australian & New Zealand College of Psychiatrists. She then spent a year training in perinatal psychiatry and women’s mental health from the University of Toronto, Canada. During this period she also obtained advanced training in Mentalisation Based Therapy through the Anna Freud Center, London, UK. She now practices in Bangalore, India as a Perinatal Psychiatrist in the People Tree Group of Hospitals and runs a group therapy program for people with Borderline Personality Disorder. She conducts training and supervision for psychologists and counselors, and provides second opinion on complex cases for psychiatrists.
