About Course

The Perinatal Mental Health Short Course was originally prompted by obstetricians who experienced the widespread occurrence of unrecognised perinatal mental health issues and their effects.

This course is co-designed and co-facilitated by experienced perinatal psychiatrists and obstetricians across India, who offer their unique professional and personal perspectives and expertise. The course aims to improve understanding and identification of perinatal mental health issues in mothers while providing strategies for the initiation of management and appropriate referrals in complex cases.
