The Bookworm
We are delighted to be back with Living Room, a reading circle for psychotherapists dedicated to contextualizing theory and practice to the unique social locations that we occupy as clinicians and social-political-cultural beings.
Join us as we make (and take) room to engage with texts by psychoanalytic, psychosocial, cultural, and literary thinkers in a small, closed group setting with fellow psychotherapists.
This season we’ll discuss The Analyst’s Torment by Dhwani Shah.
WHO IS IT FOR?
Facilitator: Kanika Mehrotra (Ph.D), psychotherapist
Kanika is a practicing psychotherapist with The Green Oak Initiative, Bangalore. Through her training at Delhi University, NIMHANS, and the University of Rhode Island, she has followed her calling for understanding, celebrating, and engaging with the human condition in all its myriad forms.
She is currently furthering her professional training with the Columbia University Center for Psychoanalytic Training and Research. She is passionate about creating shared spaces for ‘thinking through together’ with fellow psychotherapists. In her free time, she enjoys poetry, watercolors, and ‘fanzenning’.
