Evolving as a therapist

Evolving as a Therapist is a short, self-paced course designed by The PARC for early-career mental health professionals navigating the transition from academic learning into clinical practice.

While training often focuses on theory and therapeutic models, many therapists enter the therapy room feeling uncertain about the practical realities of the work. Questions around boundaries, documentation, supervision, finances, self-doubt, and building a sustainable practice are common — but not always openly discussed.

This course introduces practical concepts that emerge in the process of therapy, beyond textbook learning. Through reflective discussions, case-based thinking, and insights from experienced practitioners, the programme aims to support therapists in building confidence, clarity, and a stronger professional foundation.
